श्रद्धांजलि – Remembering Pulwama 2019

Just over a month ago the ghastly attack on Indian paramilitary personnel in Pulwama took place and about 40 of our brave soldiers were martyred. Everybody in India was shattered by this inhumane terrorist act on 14 February 2019, when a convoy of vehicles carrying security personnel of CRPF on the Jammu Srinagar National Highway was attacked by a vehicle-borne suicide bomber at Lethpora in the Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir.

We Indians were never so angry as were this time. This gory targeting of the CRPF convoy in Kashmir by a car bomb driven by a Jaish-e-Muhammed (JeM) suicide bomber dismayed the nation. India retaliated on 26 February; twelve Mirage 2000 jets of the Indian Air Force crossed the Line of Control and dropped bombs into Balakot, Pakistan attacking Jaish-e-Mohammed training camp and killed a large number of terrorists, reported to be between 300 and 350.

We were all grieved and a number of prayer meets and condolences meet happened all over the country. Condolences and financial aid poured in from every angle of the society and messages and patriotic songs dedicated to the lives of the soldiers who perished in the attack were all over the social networks.

One such prayer meeting was hosted by Lions Clubs International District 321-A1 in New Delhi and this meet was presided by Shri Tejpal Singh Khillan, District Governor at Russian cultural centre Ferozshah  Road.  Lions District also announced that they will  be giving financial aid to the families of the deceased directly.  This collected contribution shall be routed through Barat Ke Veer Program Sponsored by Mr Akshay Kumar.

Speaking at the condolence meeting, Mr Tejpal Singh Khillan said, “We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. And I hope our substantial contribution about Rs 1 lakh to each family of martyred soldiers will do a bit in their difficult time”

Quite a few songs dedicated to the lives of the soldiers came up, and recently the famed band “FUNKY BOYZ” also came out with a rap number to pay their tributes to the Martyrs of Pulwama and also to the families of Pulwama Martyrs.

Funky Boyz is a band formed by four friends, Paras Sunda, Dj wicked, JSK (Jaswinder Singh Kooner), and Sandy (percussionist) who came together and thought of fusion of folk instruments with commercial Bollywood and Western beats.

श्रद्धांजलि

A Tribute To The Martyrs Of Pulwama | FunkyBoyz Ft. DL41

RAP:

Haste hue ghar se nikle hare woh libaaz main the

Wapas kuch ese laute desh ki muskaan legaye

Lipte the garv main samaan main tirange se woh

Chal ke to gaye the par wapas pohanche kandhe pe woh

Aaj shoke main desh hai afsos main milli julli ghatna ka kissko kissko dosh de

Dhamaka hua esa jisse dharti sari kaap uthi

Lapte bhi thi esi asmaan ko thi ja chui

Manhoos thi woh sadak

Manhoos thi woh ghadi

Manhoos tha woh manzar

Manhoos sa milla dhoka

Dushman maarne ki himmat saare rakhte the.

Ladna door ki baat na sochne ka milla na mauka

Daat hai uss maa ko jisko aaj

Dard saare jhill rahe hai dukh saare jhill rahe

Kiss chaati pe rakh sir aaj roye woh

Tukde bas mill rahe tukde hi bas mill rahe hai

Log jab valentine laal pehn manna Hastrahe the kuch waha veer hamare laal rang baha rahe the

Aaj saare dharam saath main pani sir se upar hai

Attack hua waha nahi attack hamare ghar par hai

Unn shaheedo ki shahadat ko aap bhi apni yaad dena

Main likh ke unke saath hu aur aap bhi unka saath dena

Song:

Sena pe wardi pehenke jayunga

Gun mere kandhe pe

Ek din laut k aaunga

Aaunga Mai Maa jhande Mai

Lipata Hoga wo mujhse jaise bichda ho wo Janmon se

Khush hona mujhko dekhkar beta Tera Hoga kandhon pe

Sena pe wardi pehenke jayunga

Gun mere kandhe pe

Ek din laut k aaunga

Aaunga Mai Maa jhande Mai

Lipata Hoga wo mujhse jaise bichda ho wo Janmon se

Khush hona mujhko dekhkar beta Tera Hoga kandhon pe
