Sara Ali Khan walks the Ramp in Falguni Shane Peacock Collection ‘Love Forever’

Bollywood diva, Sara Ali Khan set the ramp on fire as she walked for  Internationally acclaimed Designer Duo Falguni Shane Peacock’s ‘Love Forever’ collection at the India Couture Week 2022. The collection was inspired by the recent visit of the designers to London to receive the prestigious Shiromani Award for their work and global contribution to the fashion landscape.

The collection ‘Love Forever’ is influenced by the rich French tapestries and artworks from the Renaissance period with a touch of India Modern Design. The designs in the collection have a story that begins to unfold from the inspiration that was taken from Art Nouveau and the magnitude of French architecture where the elements are married to the Indian architectural facets like the minarets, archways, and domes, amongst others. France is known as the land that is home to innumerable artworks and home to some of the most celebrated masters in the history of modern art and design— Chagall, Picasso, Braque, and Le Corbusier. And the collection celebrates this aspect of France.

The best of Indo-Parisian culture and architecture has been put together in an ingenious display of detailed motifs. From transcribing the innumerable structures of the architectural gem on ensembles to varnishing them with refined stones and pearls, the collection reflects the French tapestry essence in traditional Indian garb. The chrome applique technique has been effectively used to replicate the structural marvel and elements from both cultures on the fabric.

Innovation and creation have come to life in terms of method, and are natively rooted in terms of approach. The bridal collection with traditional cuts which are au courant serves as the perfect brew for today’s bride. Cropped blouses with a sheer, feather, and ruffle details are teamed with chrome applique and crystal work embedded in structured Lehengas. Attention has been given to the journey of the modern Indian bride who commences her new life with a whole new perspective, and the ideology of embarking on a new adventure with confidence and certainty has been showcased efficiently.

The colour palette of the collection ranges from softer hues like champagne ivory, pale blush, pink parfait, old rose, peach whip, beet red, and French roast to deeper hues like peppercorn, metallic stone green, metallic pewter, gilded gold, and the signature opal whites. One of the highlighting accents introduced is the embellished face veils. The intricate adornment has redefined the meaning of veils in this charming collection.
