L’Opéra enters new phase of growth and development

L’Opéra, the Delhi-based finest award-winning brand recently added GKII to its list of outlets situated at some of the most premium addresses in Delhi-NCR. The Samandari family (the founding family) officially launched the outlet on Saturday and organised a High Tea that saw crème de la crème of Delhi. We, team Exatrveller also attended the launch and savoured some of the finest Macaroons and Eclairs.

L’Opéra is India’s first and most popular authentic French Pâtisserie, Boulangerie and Salon de Thé. Having established its retail presence in the year 2011, L’Opéra has consistently delivered high-quality products and customer service to its patrons in Delhi-NCR. Starting with its flagship store in Delhi’s iconic Khan Market, L’Opéra has now expanded its presence to over 16 points of sale in Delhi-NCR & Dehradun at various high-street locations and Malls. The latest additions to the collection include GKII, Green Park, Defence Colony and Max Towers.

Known for its selection of authentic Viennese, breads, cakes, pastries, savouries and confectionery items, L’Opéra has also been a recipient of numerous prestigious awards that serve as a testament to its impeccable quality and consistency.

To achieve the superior quality and service that the brand prides itself in, an expert team of 170 employees work tirelessly across various outlets and at the brand’s Production Facility in Noida that operates 24X7. Spread over 12,000 sq. ft., it houses state-of-the-art equipment from France, 24-hour full power back up, best-in-class cold storage and its own logistics fleet. To ensure quality and taste, raw material such as flour, butter, cream, chocolate and fruits are carefully selected, sourced and stored in a temperature-controlled environment.

L’Opéra is the brainchild of young Frenchman Laurent Samandari, who envisioned the demand for authentic, high-quality French bakery and pastry products while on an internship in India, as part of his business degree. Laurent’s parents, Kazem and Christine Samandari also joined forces with him in Delhi to help grow L’Opéra and make it one of India’s most loved brands. The family is actively involved in running the business and maintaining the high standards of service and excellence.


With the popularity growing by the day, L’Opéra is in the process of expanding its presence in Delhi-NCR and Pan-India. The company plans to operate over 50 outlets in the next five years.
