Moods of Double – Crested Cormorants – pictorial

Pictorial series on various birdies around us.

PART 1.  The Double-Crested Coromant

Prehistoric looks, a matte-black bird with yellow-orange facial skin, the double-crested Cormorant is a common sight around fresh and saltwater and looks most attractive when they stand on docks, rocky islands, and channel markers, their wings spread out to dry. These solid, heavy-boned birds are experts at diving to catch small fish.
