Vegetarian’s Delight – The Dining Room

Hudson Lane in north Delhi is now a days buzzing with eateries of all types. But the place is now getting over crowded and noisy. So for a person who loves to enjoy his veggie meals in peace, it was a constant search going on. Suddenly I cam to learn about the re-opening of The Dining Room at Vjay Nagar, Delhi and  I went ahead to taste the food and drinks.

The Dining Room, is a vegetarian multicuisine family restaurant with a valet parking. The soothing green white and yellow color tones with foliage motif wall papers all around mademe feel green the moment I entered the restaurant.  Simple design, peaceful ambiance with old lyrical Bollywood music- all of this called for a celebration and I enjoyed a lovely evening.

The menu at Dining Room had lot of options in the starter section, and I ordered a lot from that – both Desi and Chinese and also Italian.

Drinks were refreshing and I loved the Pomegranate and Basil cooler. And then I tried a Kokam smoothie which was nice.  Time for soups, and as you all know I avoid soups in restaurants and parties – but the chef inisted on trying out his Thukpa and I was happy that I listened to the chef. starters namely, Jalapeño and veg lollypops, Kashmir sheek Kabab, Lahsunya Dhanya panner, Angara Chaap, Hare Masalae Ka bhuna paneer, Lotus Stem Honey Chilli, and Corn Cheese Ball followed and we feasted. We didnt even notice that we were full by the time we finished the starters.

So we just ordered a slice of a mixed veggie Pizza to taste and complete our meal; Indian, Chinese, and Italian – everything in one sitting.

Time for feeding my sweet tooth, and I tried their signature Chocolate Gulab Jamun and Chocolate Mousses Cake and loved the experiemtations in Gulab Jamun – wasnt sure what to taste first the choco filling or the mawas crust.

Definetely a place I can recommend to my readers – if you are in North Delhi and feel hungry – look for The Dining Room.
