Café on 3, at Holiday Inn, Mayur Vihar takes its guests on curated culinary excursions every weekend. The café is very well known in the capital city because of the various food specials they organize which include exotic food from different regions of India, on different festive occasions and also foods from all around the globe.
We have been regular visitors at the café and have enjoyed going on foodie trails from Kerala, Rampur, Bihar, Bengal and many other states in India as well as Chinese, Thai and English food journeys. Celebrating various festivals like Holi, Diwali, Id, Christmas and others have added colours in our celebrations.
Recently we had the Lohri festival in North India and the management once again took us though a savouring trip through Til Patties, Moongfali, Popcorns, and Gazaks, mouth watering snacks from Punjab e.g. Kulchas and chole, Makke ki Roti with Sarson ka saag, and as usual a big big spread of desserts including a very well made Gajar ka Halwa. Without Gajar ka Halwa – any winter festival in North India is incomplete and the Dessert chef at the café made it sure that he puts in his best to make it the best of the night. Worth mentioning here is the delicious Bhuna Paneer Tikka that helped us deviate our attention from the Til and moongfali offerings.
We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Lohri at Café on 3, 3 days before the actual festival day and loved savouring everything on the menu. The regular menu was also on offer including International food, and so were other Indian delicacies.
If you follow my reviews and trust my judgments on food, take my advice – DON’T miss a chance to come to Café on 3 and indulge in one of the food festivals they curate on weekends and also on certain special occasions. If you are lucku enough, you might get a chance to meet me too on one of your foodie trips…
